About Us

Our Mission

To love the unloved by reaching out to troubled youths & families and providing a temporary place of refuge so that lives may be Restored, Renewed & Revived.

About Us

Andrew and Grace Home (AG Home) was established in by Pastor Andrew Choo and his wife, Grace in 1998 to help troubled youths and provide temporary refuge for teenage girls aged 12 – 19 years who are struggling with issues such as:

  • Teenage Pregnancy
  • Psychological/Physical/Sexual Abuse
  • Juvenile Delinquency & Young Offenders
  • Lack of adequate family support

The Home also welcomes children who are beyond parental control and those without a home and provides stay-in facilities and care services for up to 60 girls

The Home adopts a family concept because it strongly believes that the family is the basic building block of society and a potential change agent – making AG Home truly unique.

Our Heartbeat

The increase in delinquency among teenagers, especially amongst females, is of concern to Pastor Andrew and his wife, Grace. From personal experience in working with troubled teenagers, Pastor Andrew has noticed that most of them come from dysfunctional families.

With the little familial guidance the girls receive, moral values are inculcated by external influences – key influences being their own peers, the media and the internet – thus affecting their thoughts and actions. In their young lives, these girls have experienced one or more of the following:

  • Involvement in gangsterism, homosexuality, drugs or excessive drinking
  • Teenage pregnancies
  • Conviction of petty or more serious crimes
  • Harboured and/or acted on suicidal thoughts
  • Lost their focus and direction in life

Hence, the Home seeks to provide the necessary love and care to help them restore their lives and reconcile their broken family relationships. It is the Home’s desire to see the following outcomes in the lives of the girls under its care:

  • Respect and honour their parents
  • Non-involvement with drugs
  • Non-involvement with anti-social activities and negative peers
  • Change of attitude and behaviour towards authority
  • Improvement in their academic performance

Our Objectives:

  1. To rehabilitate and reintegrate juvenile delinquents and young offenders into society as responsible individuals
  2. Provide a temporary refuge for teenage girls who are working through their problems with parents or are facing abusive situations at home
  3. Provide counselling and guidance to youths who have conflicts with their families and to help them work towards reconciliation
  4. Reach out and befriend youths-at-risk to help steer them away from adverse influence and delinquent activities
  5. Provide temporary shelter for teenage girls facing a pregnancy crisis while they seek assistance for their problems
